MY JOURNEY AS AN EVENT-PRENEUR  You know, if someone had told me years ago that my simple passion for making people's events beautiful would involved waking up midnights working on the laptop.  Crafting detailed proposals for corporate organizations/multinational corporations, I would have laughed and said, "My friend, you don't know what you're saying." But here am I today, not as my people fondly say "ya na aikin kanopi ne" (he does canopy works). It started small, very small. I was that person who couldn't attend any event without mentally rearranging the decorations. "Ah, if na me plan this thing," I would whisper to myself, "see how fine it for be." Sometimes, life has a way of reminding you just how far you've come. As I scrolled through my timeline today, this memory popped up, and I couldn't help but pause.  Ten years. A whole decade of building something from absolutely nothing. In 2004, I was just 13 years old, hustling and innocently working in the form of apprenticeship. Scraping together 5, 10, maybe 20 Naira just to buy biscuits for lunch. On good days, it was gari. On really good days, I could afford "kosh and dosh" for breakfast. But here's what kept me going - faith.
