MY JOURNEY AS AN EVENT-PRENEUR

Image
MY JOURNEY AS AN EVENT-PRENEUR  You know, if someone had told me years ago that my simple passion for making people's events beautiful would involved waking up midnights working on the laptop.  Crafting detailed proposals for corporate organizations/multinational corporations, I would have laughed and said, "My friend, you don't know what you're saying." But here am I today, not as my people fondly say "ya na aikin kanopi ne" (he does canopy works). It started small, very small. I was that person who couldn't attend any event without mentally rearranging the decorations. "Ah, if na me plan this thing," I would whisper to myself, "see how fine it for be." I remembered stepping out of the lectures to go and arrange a venue for seminar then at ABU, Zaria "just for money." Little did I know that those whispers and determination to earned a living were seeds of something bigger growing inside me. I remembered following my bos...

A DECADE OF l FAITH, DREAMS ND EXCELLENCE

Image
Sometimes, life has a way of reminding you just how far you've come. As I scrolled through my timeline today, this memory popped up, and I couldn't help but pause.  Ten years. A whole decade of building something from absolutely nothing. In 2004, I was just 13 years old, hustling and innocently working in the form of apprenticeship. Scraping together 5, 10, maybe 20 Naira just to buy biscuits for lunch. On good days, it was gari. On really good days, I could afford "kosh and dosh" for breakfast. But here's what kept me going - faith. Not just religious faith (though that was my anchor), but faith that every small step mattered.  Every Naira earned was building toward something bigger, even when I couldn't see it. By 2015, during my university days, something shifted. What started as survival became vision. I realized I wasn't just planning events - I was creating experiences that mattered to people.  Weddings that brought families together. Corporate event...
